He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Charles and Frances "Pat" Charles (Krause); and his siblings, Ellen Moore, Eileen Bower and James "Jim" Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne Charles (Speer); and his siblings, Mary Severinghaus, John Charles (Vicky), Bill Charles and Joe Charles (Lorie). He is also survived by 8 children and 17 grandchildren.
