It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter F. Weidig of Lakemoor, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Darleen Weidig (Nee Susanke); his parents, Gerhart Weidig and Florence Weidig (Nee Nichols); and his brother Edward Weidig. He is survived by: his brother James (Barbara); his children, Steve Weidig (Pina), Sue Murray (Doug) and Julie Ropa (Mike); his stepchildren, Thomas J. Botten Jr. (Joanne) and Cindy Dragosh (Edward); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Blair Weidig, Tyler, Alexa, Brad Murray, Katie, Jessica Ropa, TJ Botten, Cassie and Mikayla Dragosh.
