He was predeceased by: his parents, Lakshminarasimhan Sankarambodi and Perundevi Thathachari. He is survived by: his wife Geetha Saranathan; his children, Krishnan Saranathan (Anu Krishnan) and Priyam Girish (Girish Srinivasan); his granddaughters, Varsha, Nishika, Trisha and Niyathi; and his sister Choodamani Nedadur (Andal).
