The passing of Philip A. McGlauchlin of Lake Zurich, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McGlauchlin and Willa McGlauchlin; his parents-in-law, Bill and Kay Roberts; and his sister-in-law Julie Ferren (late Andy).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay McGlauchlin; his children, Katie, Mimi, Mikey (Jaimee Thonn) and Eddie (Dani Bennett); his siblings, Gary (Yin Ho), Laura McGlauchlin-Duis (Dennis Duis) and Todd (Gaylyn); his brother-in-law Tom Roberts (Rita); and his nieces and nephews, John Ferren, Tom Ferren, Annie Ferren (Todd Moen), Keke Mullen (Ezra), Danny Roberts, Ellyn Smith, Julia McGlauchlin (Nick Parenica), Sarah Jacobs, Emmanuel Duis and Joel Duis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish (33 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
In lieu of flowers, it is Phil's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Lake County Forest Preserves (https://www.lcfpd.org).
