It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Omar D. Spitz (Lake Zurich, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 29, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marc Spitz and Morgan Spitz; his siblings, Isabella and Talia; his pet Lucy; his grandchildren, Haire, Rabbi David (Saba) and Susan Spitz (Bubbi); his uncles, Colin, Calaeb Haire, Titi Tammi, Chris Salgado and Michael Hunter; his cousins, Arianna, Lawson, Kai and Logan; and his godparent Niemann. He was also cherished by Aunties and Uncles.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are appreciated to Omar Spitz, which will then all be donated in his name to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where Omar received all of his care. The donations will go towards helping young future patients while receiving his name on the Lurie Children's recognition wall.

“My deepest condolences to the Spitz family. I remember Omar always brought a positive vibe to the entire room with his smile. Unfortunately my last memory of him was when I bumped into him at a Christmas dinner which I felt horrible for. However, the silver lining from that incident I saw not too long after he got up with no troubles and went back to playing with his sisters. I got to witness what a true warrior he was. His positive vibe will continue to shine in heaven”
