We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2023, at the age of 88, Grace Marie McEwen (Lake Zurich, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Logan McEwen and Grace H. McEwen (Reick); and her brother Logan McEwen. She is survived by: her niece Jill (John Spude); her nephew Gary (LeeAnn); her great-nephews, Ryan, Colin Spude and Kevin McEwen; her great-niece Dr. Courtney McEwen; and her cousin Alice Paluch.

Remarkably, she survived almost 18 months of COVID isolation by keeping a daily journal, reading, and corresponding with her many dear friends and family, never losing her benevolent nature.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grace Marie McEwen would be appreciated to her alma mater of Carthage College at the Office of Institutional Advancement, Carthage College, 2001 Alford Park Drive, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53140-9986.
