With solemn reverence, we commemorate Elvira Yu of Lake Zurich, Illinois, whose life came to an end on December 2, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Villascuza Pichel and Milagros Sanson Pichel; her husband Manuel Tan Yu; and her brothers, Ramon Pichel, Antonio Pichel Jr. and Manuel Pichel.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Christine Yu-Mendoza, Margaret Yu Arroyo, Mary Ann Yu Cervantes and Michael Yu; her grandchildren, Rameses, Bonaparte, Aubrey, Valerie, Camille and Dominique; and her siblings, Gloria Pichel Mara and Carlos Pichel.

The lying in state was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Cyprian Church (2601 Clinton St, River Grove, IL 60171). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
