He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Baker (Hepler) and Dillard B. Baker Jr.; and his pet Ernie. He is survived by: his wife Denise Baker (Giesel); his children, Kyle Baker (Melissa) and Emily Baker (Tony Greinke); and his grandchildren, Anthony Greinke, Espin Jurgensen and Henrik Jurgensen.
As a long time cancer warrior, the family requests donations to be made in Dillard's name to the Purple Plunge - a local non-profit charity in Lake Zurich that assists individuals and their families on their cancer journey.
