He was predeceased by: his son Thomas J Atchison, Jr.; his parents, Ed Atchison and Helen Atchison; his brother Edward Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Johnson Atchison, Martha Davidson Lechner, Catherine Lechner Kawkeka and Gordon McHugh (Helen Marie).

He is survived by: his uncle Sam; his wife Patricia; his children, Phyliss Case (Gary), Barbara Corey (Scott), Patricia Kulka, Mary Beth Reading (Martin) and Michael Atchison; his sister Helen Marie McHugh (Atchsion); and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Lechner, Jr. and Terrence Lechner (Madonna). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and spouses, 25 Great Grandchildren.
