He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Buchert (Ender) and Lyman "Sport" Buchert. He is survived by: his wife Carol Steinke; his daughters, Angela Curry (Patrick) of Wonder Lake, IL and Suzanne Engstrom (Jack) of McHenry, IL; his grandchildren, Ashley Mantych (Nick), Megan Engstrom (Liam Martin), Dylan Curry and Casey Curry; his great grandchildren, Elora and Willa Mantych; and his brothers, Alan Buchert (Margaret) and Donald Buchert (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
