She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lewis and Agnes Lewis (Tesch); her husband Richard; her stepfather Fred Bienapfl; her children, Rick, Kevin, Thomas Sedar and Nancy Pollack; and her siblings, Dale Dixon and Arlette Brugger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy West (Terry) and Ellen Cravens (Bob); her grandchildren, Andrea Carver (James), Rick Sedar, Christopher Pollack (Amanda Muscarello), Jackie Sedar, Nicholas Sedar, Steven West and Joseph Cravens (Manhattan); her great grandchildren, Shay Carver, Kinsley Carver and Shiloh Sedar; her nieces, Barb and Phylis Sedar; her granddaughter Maria DeVito; and her friends, Shelly Bird, John DeVito, Veronica Sandora and Nadyne. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch (1055 Main St, Antioch, IL 60002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bede Catholic Church (36399 N Wilson Rd, Ingleside, IL 60041). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Ascension Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Villa Fire Department.
