He was predeceased by: his parents, George May Sr. and Phyllis May. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Natalie May and George May III; his sisters, Judy Lindsten (Clem), Renee Andrews (Steve) and Debbie Koenig (Ron); and his cousin Patricia Harrison. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousin, and other family members.
