It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Appelt (Lake Villa, Illinois), who passed away on March 27, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Johnson and Mabel Johnson (Fossen); her sisters, Doris Engebretson (Kermit) and Martha Westermann (Duanne); and her parents-in-law, Emmanuel, Pearl Appelt and Geraldine Dethloff (John).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Appelt; her children, Shonda Doty (Richard), Mark Appelt (Meaghan) and Ryan Appelt (Lisa); her grandchildren, Niva, Avina, Mikaela, Draven, Legion, Avin, Amya, Ayla and Alyn; and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Appelt (Julia) and Robert Appelt (Darlene). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
