He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Butler; and his siblings, Thomas Butler and Thelma Peters. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Butler; his children, Shari Fitzgerald (Edward) and Darrell Butler (Marci); and his grandchildren, Rachel Butler, Lauren Butler, Brian Butler, Eion Fitzgerald and Conor Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory – Crystal Lake (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery (8012 Ridgefield Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012).
