With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris E. Smiley of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Gray and Myrtle Gray (Sugden); her siblings, Dorothy, Maynard, Kenneth, Darrell and Lawrence; her husband Albert J. Smiley; and her sons, Lawrence and Albert.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy DeRoeck, Karen Ihrke (Scott) and Jim Smiley (Diane); her grandchildren, Dillon (Michelle), Amber (Steve), Brittney (Jeff), Bradley, Bryon (Ashley), Shelley, Darren (Rachel) and Alyssa; and her great grandchildren, Briell, Layla, Gage, Payton Marie, Jeffery, McKayla, Easton, Bryson and Novalee. She is also survived by friends, spending time with her family, especially grandchildren & great grandchildren.
