She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton "Swanny" Schwanbeck and Eugenia "Jean" Schwanbeck (Kulack); and her brother Mitch Schwanbeck. She is survived by: her husband Arnold Shanks; her sons, Mike Shanks (Candy), Paul Shanks (Renee) and Peter Shanks (Sarah); her grandchildren, Cari, Ben, Riley, Regan and Aiden; her sister Chris Aronson (Jim); and her siblings-in-law, Donna Schwanbeck, Roger Shanks (Barbara), David Shanks and Earl Shanks (Evis). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
