It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Anne Hamlin (Lake Forest, Illinois), born in Beech Creek, Kentucky, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tom; her daughter Paula Hamlin; her parents, Lourae Hillyard and Rupert Hillyard; her sister Kathryn Reynolds; and her sister-in-law Peggy.
She is survived by: her brother Rupert Hillyard; her children, Ree (Tom), Tom Hamlin of Atlanta, GA, Charlie Hamlin (Becky) of Lake Bluff, IL, Theresa Grumke (Clay) and Jeff Hamlin (Leisa) of Eureka, MO; and her grandchildren, Zach (Mandy), Jen (Jeff), Tyler (Katie), Betsy (Brian), Jake (Lauren), Stevie (Ben), Shore (John), Troy, Emily (Ross), Kate (Kyle), Maggie and Eric. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Ann has requested donations be sent to the Friends of Lake Bluff Library, Greater Illinois Food Bank, Prairie State Legal Services or the charity of your choice.
