We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2022, James R. Stanley of Lake Bluff, Illinois, born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Col. Leslie W. Stanley and Hazel E. Stanley; his wife Darlene; his children, Susan (Bobby), Sandy, Jim and Jeff (Lissa); his grandchildren, Greg (Sarah), Emily, Lexi, Zach, Jimmy, Kate, Alex and Maggie; and his sisters, Emily Josephine Drummond and Elizabeth Stanley Lee. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of James R. Stanley to the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association (GICIA), P.O. Box 446, Boca Grande, FL, 33921.
