It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert E. Knigge in Lake Barrington, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sons, James Knigge and Donald Knigge (Cindy); his parents, Louis Knigge and Elsa Knigge (Heise); and his brother Willard Knigge.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey M Knigge; his children, Cheryl White (late Daniel) and Steven Knigge (Marsha); his grandchildren, Zach Gilbert (Ejaye), Alyssum Tomberlin (Luke), Iris Knigge and Sarah White; his great grandchildren, Zander Gilbert, Caiden Gilbert, Anisa Gilbert, Jade Tomberlin, Cedar Tomberlin and Scarlet Tomberlin; and his siblings, Leona Krause, Lillian Zimmerman, Dolores Miethke and Jennet Simonini.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Maintenance Fund, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
