He was predeceased by: his parents, Georg Freund and Maria Freund; his granddaughter Anna; his stepmother Margaret; and his sisters, Maria, Emma and Anne.
He is survived by: his wife Gerda Urban; his children, Peter C. Freund (Tracy) and Victoria M. Nass (Barbara) of Joseph, C. A.; his grandchildren, Max, Hugo, Oskar, Hans, Heidi, Klaus, Ingrid, Bruno, Sabine, Lidia and Eva; and his brothers, Georg, Karl and Rupert.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Community (120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Windridge Memorial Park (7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary, IL 60013).
