He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ernest and Elsbeth McCartney (Petrich); and his siblings, George McCartney, Katherine Kelly, Marjorie Kelly and Georgia Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Greathouse; and his children, Mike McCartney of Lacon, Doug (Francine McCartney), Tim McCartney (Joe Nebergall) and Jessica Wilson (Ben) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
