She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Wayne Pimlott and Margaret Pimlott (Morgan); and her husband Bob Downey. She is survived by: her son Robert Downey (Chelsea); her grandchildren, Emma of Lacon, Allie of Lacon, Shelby of Lacon and Wyatt of Lacon; her siblings, Cynthia Morgan of Catlin and Bryon Morgan (Jean) of Catlin; her niece Jessica Morgan; her nephew Tyler Juckem (Leslie); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Adam, Zach and Blake.
Memorials can be made to Mrs. Downey's Purple Palace, a charity for teachers to receive grants to stimulate creativity in students.
