He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Burris and Edna L. Burris (Shipp); and his siblings, William, Melvin Burris, Marian Zeman, Delores Baum, Beverly Uranich and Elberta Mae Burris.
He is survived by: his former wife Sue Harden (Buswink); his wife Kathryn Publow (Foy) of La Salle; his children, Richard Burris of Princeton, Melanie Dale (Doug) of Plainfield, Bridget Wilmot Sr. (Dan) of Peru and Jennifer Rzeszewski (Alan) of Naperville; and his stepchildren, Natalie Ziarnik (Andrew) of Barrington, Patrick Publow of La Salle and Erin Publow (Jeff Borisch) of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
