He was predeceased by: his parents, William Murphy and Mary Marcella Murphy (Maher); his wife Josephine Lesniak; his daughter Paula; his son-in-law David Crowe; and his siblings, Rita Carbone and Emmett Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Grabowski (James), Rose Murphy, Mary Jo Sterling (Kevin) and Timothy Murphy (Claire Perona). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
