Jean L. Matchus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean L. Matchus (La Salle, Illinois), who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clausing and Anjean Clausing (Devries); her husband John A. Matchus; her grandsons, Michael and Kyle; her great grandchild Chloe; and her brothers, Dirk and Robert Clausing.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Bratta (Cesare) of Lanark, Peggy Seghi (Ray) of Peru, William Matchus (Margie) of New Lenox and John Matchus (Tasey) of Nebraska; and her siblings, Pam Cook (Neil) of Florida and William Clausing (Peg) of Arizona. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home (650 5th St, La Salle, IL 61301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
