Francis Scoma Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis Scoma of La Salle, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scoma and Ann Scoma (Kump); his brother Paul Scoma; and his pets, Izzy and Rufus.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mueller of La Salle; his children, Kris Scoma-Galbreath (Thomas) of Chicago, Vickie Scoma (Michael Hudson) of La Salle and Jim Scoma (Jennifer) of Peru; his grandchildren, Paige, Drew Scoma, Jay, Nolan, Quin Galbreath and Kalie Bonafede (Mark); his brothers, Charles Scoma (Betty) of La Salle and Jerry Scoma (Sally) of Peru; and his sister-in-law Nancy Scoma of Princeton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (725 4th St, La Salle, IL 61301).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PETA, Second Hand Ranch and Rescue (Wildlife Rescue in Princeton, IL), or any animal support group you prefer.
