He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Stehl and Louise Stehl (Karlosky); his daughter Lori Seghi (Kevin) of Peru; his grandsons, Brian Seghi (Caitlin) of Peru and Scott Seghi (Sara) of Manlius; his great grandchildren, Lainey, Gianna, Carter, Skylar, Sophia, Sawyer and Stehla; his wife Evelyn Thone; and his brother Roger Stehl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity United Church of Christ in La Salle.
