He is survived by: his wife Randa Kelish of La Salle; his children, Tara Champlin of Peru, Ryan Walters (Carolyn) of Oglesby and Dana Walters of La Salle; and his sister Susan Padilla of Utica. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
