It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willa Ann Covert (La Harpe, Illinois), born in Dallas City, Illinois, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hugh Byers and Dulcie Byers; her children, Cathy Jones (Jay) and Alan Covert (Teresa); her sisters, Frances Petersen, Norma Brandon and Kay Sherwood (Fred); her sisters-in-law, Luan Dunham and Carol Trumpeter; her siblings, Beryl Colliver, Nell Mutter and Dale Bunch; her great grandchildren, Jackson Jones (Lauren), Drake, Jesse Jones (Renae), Jerex, Jaxton, Jensen Jones (Meghan), Jenna, Maggie and Emma; and her husband Duane.
Due to the pandemic, no formal visitation will be held, but friends may pay their respects from noon until 5:00 p. m. Monday, February 15th at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LaHarpe Carnegie Public Library.
