He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail Smith and Geneva Smith (Thurman); and his siblings, Marilyn Jackson, Eldon and Marion Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Rosenberg; his children, Greg Smith of Burlington and Debbie Higgins of LaHarpe; his grandchildren, Kara Wright, Kortney Higgins, Kristen Higgins and Cole Smith; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Harrison; and his sister Judy Burt (Bill) of LaHarpe.
A memorial fund has been established for the Union Church or the LaHarpe Fire Department.
