Shallenberger (La Harpe, Illinois), born in Gladstone, Illinois, who passed away on October 31, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Shallenberger and Gladys Miller Shallenberger; and his wife Betty Lee Kurtz. He is survived by: his children, John Lee Shallenberger of LaHarpe and Jana Finley of LaHarpe; his granddaughter Michelle Welch; and his siblings, Tom Shallenberger of Snellville and Barb Lung of Monmouth, Illinois..

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
