He is survived by: his wife Donna Peck of LaHarpe; his children, Scott Traser (Lynn) of Macomb, Shane Traser (Erin) of Rockford, Illinois and Sheri Traser-Schmalz (Mike) of Muscatine, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Kevin Traser of Macomb, Sarah Traser of Macomb, Courtney Lloyd (Traser) of Fort Wayne, Dallas Traser of Loves Park, Dominic Schmalz of Coralville and Camille Poehlein (Schmalz) of Spanaway, Washington..

A memorial fund has been established for the Union Church.

“WE CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE MISSED JOHN AND DONNA IN THE KEYS THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. SUCH GREAT FRIENDS FOR SO MANY YEARS - LOADS OF FUN.
