Carnes (La Harpe, Illinois), born in Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Virgil Byars and Edna Alice Hignight Byars; and her children, James D. Carnes of Terre Haute, Barbara Link (Jerry) of LaHarpe and Mary Lou Dunbar of Macon, Missouri. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
