She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Hoskins and Frances Hoskins (Crosley); her husband Donald Powelson; her son Lynn Powelson; and her siblings, Goldie, Elizabeth, Joseph, Johnny, Harvey, Albert, Grover and Donna.
She is survived by: her children, Deana Stout of Dallas City, Timothy Powelson of Oelwein and Jamey Powelson of Colchester, Illinois; and her sister Geraldine Meeks of LaHarpe, Illinois.. She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, great-granchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
