It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn I. Yard (La Harpe, Illinois), who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn I. Yard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Wetzel and Leona Wetzel (Simmons); her husband L. Eldon Yard; her son Kent Yard; and her siblings, William, Robert, Wendell Wetzel, Marilyn Huston and Shirley Shafer.
She is survived by: her son Karl Yard (Leana) of LaHarpe; and her grandchildren, Shane Yard (Karen), Amy Hager (Jeff), Jarrid Yard (Rebecca), Landon Yard (Ashley), Colby Yard (Monica), Michelle Caldwell (Mike) and Teresa Hickey. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Carnegie Library, LaHarpe Union Church or Blessing Hospice.
