She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Carter and Effie Jenkins Carter; her former spouses, Keith Bowen and Dale Eppley; and her husband Otis "Jerry" Howe.
She is survived by: her children, Marshall Bowen (Marina) of Penza, Russia and Charlotte Pawlak (Paul) of Carthage, Illinois; her granddaughters, Melissa Minya (Steve) and Natalie Lappe (John); and her siblings, Doc Carter of Richland, WI and Elaine Grundy of Thayer, IL.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
