We bid farewell to Joseph Shanley (La Grange, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 30, 2024 at the age of 74. Joseph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his sister Dorothy; his wife Joyce; and his brother William Shanley (Jean). He is survived by: his son Ryan Shanley (Kara); his stepsons, Michael Huber (Diana) and Daniel Huber (Jackie); his grandchildren, William, John "Jack", Winifred, Kathleen Shanley, Ronnie, Viera Huber, Sammie and Francesca Huber; and his siblings, Mary Ann Shanley, Marge Sebern (Mark), Kevin Shanley (Deborah Darr), Edward Shanley (Peggy), Maureen Shanley (Tom Smith) and Patricia Reidy (Gary).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home (1025 W 55th St, Countryside, IL 60525). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (124 N Spring Ave, La Grange, IL 60525).
