It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Michael Gecan Sr. of La Grange, Illinois, who passed away, on January 19, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gecan, Sr. and Frances; his siblings, Mary Palya (late Howard), Dorothy Remus (late Dick), Kay Miller (late Norm) and Frank Jr. Gecan (late Jackie); and his grandparents, Ignatius, Mary Getson, Gasper and Mary Dorich.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gecan; his children, Ron (Mara), Mary Burge (Travis), James Jr. (Kristin) and Michael (Tawny); and his grandchildren, Luke, Gianna, Elena Gecan, Nathaniel, Noah, Aurelia Burge, Emmett, Joseph Gecan, Grace and Claire Gecan.
Interment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL in Section 19 Grave 1758. The Gecan family would like to express that due to Covid, a celebration of life and traditional communal meal will be scheduled when it is safe for all to gather together.
