It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Walter Biela of La Grange Park, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Biela and Josephine Biela; his wife Arlene Biela (Nee VanDenHende); and his brothers, Zigmund and Walter Biela.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanette Schwartz (Rich), Joan Hereford (Chris), Denise Stiefel (Reid) and Deb Darschewski (Joseph); his grandchildren, Matthew Stiefel, Sarah Tipton (Tyler), Matthew Schwartz, Brittany Schwartz, James Hereford, Mandy Stiefel, Zygmunt Darschewski, Kazimierz Darschewski, Jozefa Darschewski, Staszek Darschewski, Mieszko Darschewski, Amanda Ellerbroek and Kevin Hereford; his great grandchildren, Gabriel Tipton, Kaya Ellerbroek, William Tipton and Zoey Ellerbroek; his sister MaryAnn Krebs; and his brother-in-law Fred VanDenHende.
In Lieu of flowers Eugene's family ask that you please donate to the Brookfield Zoo where he loved to volunteer and he enjoyed long walks with Arlene before her passing.
