William Wallace Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Wallace of Knoxville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wallace and Nova Wallace (Williams); his wife Joyce Ann Johnson; his daughter Leatha Sue Wood; and his siblings, Georgia Lee Shirley and George Wallace, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Wallace of Knoxville, Shirley Shores (Richard) of Knoxville, Linda Jones (Deke) of Knoxville and Sharon "Kate" Hanson (Richard) of Galesburg, Illinois; and his siblings, Alfred Wallace (Nellie) of Springfield, Missouri, Ronald Wallace (Leona) of Ocala and Victoria Wallace. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knoxville Cemetery North Market.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Knoxville Fire Department or to St. Jude's. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois is assisting the family with his wishes.
