He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Marshall Fields and Helen Louise Fields (Hanson). He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ann Blair (Marvin) of Pueblo, Marsha Bailey (David) of Gilson, Illinois and John M. Fields (Lynn) of Galesburg. He is also survived by Five nieces and many great nieces, nephews and friends.

“It was sad news when i heard that robert had passed. We were friends when we were kids back in the late 60's and early 70's. When ever i returned to knoxville to visit family, it was always great to see robert at george's dinner or the newer place where mel's used to be. He always had a huge smile and a story to tell. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Roy conover”
