He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Simmons and Mayme Simmons (Barlow); and his sisters, Kathie Clark and Peggy Ann White. He is survived by: his wife Serena (Murphy); his daughters, Teresa Simmons of Macomb and Missy Hinton (Paul) of Delong, One; his grandson Christopher Thomas Simmons of Montreal; his stepgranddaughters, Katie Hinton of Michigan and Sasha Swilley (Josh) of Florida; and his siblings, Hugh Simmons (Janice) of East Moline, Dan Simmons (M'Len) of Galesburg and Dixie Matthews (Roger) of Lodi, California..

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation.
