He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Conrad "Connie" and Geneva Gustafson (England); his wife Claudette Martin; his children, Julie Patch (Richard) of Galesburg, Illinois and John Gustafson (Patty) of Galesburg; his grandchildren, Natalie (Peter), Tracy (Erik), Travis and Alex; his great grandchildren, George, James, Taylor, Oliver, Zane and Ava; and his siblings, Donna Bruns (Jack) of Garden City, Kansas and Willard Gustafson (Etheline) of Galesburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church of Knoxville, the Galesburg Rescue Mission, or the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Research Fund.
