He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Line and Lucille Line (Loveridge); his spouse Jean Ann Line (Flynn); and his brothers, Richard Line and Tommy Line.
He is survived by: his children, David Line (Cindy) of Champaign, Steve Line (Mindy) of Dallas, Ellen Newbill of Galesburg, Linda Hallberg (Alan) of Galesburg and Chris Young (Bill) of Galesburg; and his sister-in-law Nancy Line of Galesburg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In John's memory, donations can be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or Galesburg High School Girl's Basketball.
