Nelson of Knoxville, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Nelson and May Nelson (Pruett); and his siblings, Betty Stutler and Bill Nelson. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ellen Reed (Johnathan) of Knoxville, Shelby Hennenfent (Case) of Knoxville, Mikeal Redington (Kasey) of Rancho Cucamonga, Jenna Redington of Galesburg, Taylor Redington of Galesburg, Elijah Redington of Galesburg, Caden Nagel of Godrey and Austin Nagel of Godfrey, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Julian, Jordan, Jennelle, Emeline, Madelyn and Jax; his siblings, Shirley Nelson of Galesburg and Raymond Nelson of Gilson; and his close friend Pat Chansler of Abingdon, Illinois..
