We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2024, at the age of 90, Helen E. Essex of Knoxville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Nesbit and Lois Nesbit (Wilson); her husband Marvin D. "Sonny" Essex; her siblings, Larry Nesbit, Lois Ann Heckart (Glenn), Fred Nesbit, Darla Ray and Linda Lewis; and her nieces, Lisa Carnes (Nesbit) and Roxanne Lingenfelter (Heckart).
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorraine Stone (Bill) of Galesburg and Michele Peacock of Schaumburg; her grandchildren, Jeremy Peacock of San Diego, Craig Stone of Galesburg, Krystie Stone of Galesburg, Amber Peacock of Peoria and Shawna Rottman (Mike) of Elgin; her stepgranddaughter Denise Kruzan (Mike) of Pekin; her great grandchild Cameron Stone of Galesburg; and her siblings-in-law, Norma Nesbit of Galesburg and Gilbert Lewis of Maquon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
