It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elbert Simmons (Knoxville, Illinois), born in Hardin, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert "Ebby" Young and Beulah "Dessie" Simmons (Fields); and his sister Hazel. He is survived by: his wife Candace Nelson-Madden of Knoxville; his children, Katherin Franklin of Colorado, Anthony Lee Simmons (Mary) of Big Rock and Larry Simmons (Margi) of Yorkville, Illinois; and his stepchildren, Amber Green (Chad) of Yorkville, Kelly Madden (Kelli) of Yorkville and Jody Madden (Bo Natoli) of Largo, Florida.
