We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Carol Griffis of Knoxville, Illinois, born in Eldorado, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hughes and Neva June Hughes; her son Jeff Griffis; and her brother Alan Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Jim Griffis; her children, Heather White (Will), James Griffis (Susie), Jennifer Eason (David), Janeen Covell (Tim) and Jonna Harkness (Tim); her brother Johnny Hughes; and her grandchildren, Garrett, DJ, Rylee, Benaiah, Olivia, Tina, James, Kayli, Courtney, Janae, David, Neal, Megan and Elissa. She is also survived by her family and friends and the countless birds.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Baptist Children's Home and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
