We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Gene E. Carlson of Kirkwood, Illinois, born in Monmouth, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ejnar Carlson and Ruth Carlson (Johansson); and his brothers, Carl Carlson and Robert Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Rose Carlson of Kirkwood, IL; and his children, Lora Brownlee (David) of Kirkwood, IL, Mike Carlson (Jennifer) of St. Joseph, IL, James Carlson of Virginia and Lori Holmes of Galesburg, IL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephew.

Memorials may be given to the Kirkwood Senior Center or Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR) and sent to the funeral home.
