He was predeceased by: his parents, Clead Simmons and Roberta Hammonds; his siblings, Glen, Melvin, Debbie and Norma; and his children-in-law, Deena and Karl.
He is survived by: his spouse Dilene; his children, Dawn Capes (Dan), Patrick Christensen, DeWayne Simmons (Jessica), Doreen Simmons (Manuel) and Denise Simmons; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Devin, Reilly, Alex, Andrew and Manuel Jr.. He is also survived by 5 brothers; 9 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Quiram Kirkland Chapel (309 S 5th St, Kirkland, IL 60146). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Kingston Cemetery (210 N Hunter Rd, Kingston, IL 60145).
Memorials can be made to the family for a fund to be established.
